Allergens on a Menu
There are 14 regulated allergens that must be provided to the customer on a menu. While countries have different legislation, that majority all require the following: Fish, Crustaceans, Mollusc, Milk, Eggs, Peanut, Gluten, Tree Nuts, Sesame, Soybeans, Mustard, SO2, Lupin, Celery.
It is important that if the dish contains Tree Nuts, you also need to mention which type of Nut it contains.
Using Allergen Icons on your Menu
The follow icons can be used to show the types of allergens:
